Timothy Nelson, profesionally known as Karma Fields (formerly Betatraxx), is a DJ and producer from Los Angeles. He produced and co-wrote the song Electra Heart.

In January 2014, the producer stated he had been working on a "bigger and stronger"[citation needed] final version[1] of Electra Heart on Twitter, which MARINA followers could expect to hear "shortly".[2]
The song was set to release sometime before Easter of 2014,[3] however, was delayed[4] due to changes at Betatraxx's label.[5][6] A snippet of the song was shared,[7] prior to fully releasing it in late April of the same year,[8] along with a Q&A of the track.[9]
In August 2014, Betatraxx teased the release of Electra Heart's acapella, asking followers their opinion.[10] The vocals were released the day after,[11] however, deleted months later due to unknown reasons.[12]
