The metadata of the original leaked file[2] reveals that the song was encoded in "Logic Pro X 10.3.2", assuming the software was up to date, this means the song was produced between July and December 2017, for LOVE + FEAR.[3]
On July 28, 2019, Marina tweeted a selfie with the caption: "Cause I'm a Woman."[4] The next day, she posted to social media:[5]

This suggests the song was reconsidered for the "female collab album", with the instrumental bridge possibly intended for a feature. Unfortunately, due to difficulty organising collaborations,[6] the project was ultimately scrapped and merged with Ancient Dreams In A Modern Land, and the song did not make the cut.
