The EP is named "Primadonna (Acoustic)" on streaming platforms, but will be referred to as "Electra Heart (Acoustic)" for clarity reasons.

Electra Heart (Acoustic) is the sixth EP released by Marina Diamandis, under her previous stage name 'Marina and the Diamonds' on April 20, 2012.

The EP contains 3 acoustic versions of songs featured on Electra Heart and was accompanied by 4 music videos on YouTube.

Background[]

On March 19, 2012, Marina released the music video for Primadonna (Acoustic), a few days after the release of the original song as a single. On the 30th, the music video for Homewrecker (Acoustic) was released, however it was not featured on the EP.

On April 12, the music video for Lies (Acoustic) was released. On the 20th, the EP was released, three days later, on the 23th, the music video for Starring Role (Acoustic) was released.

In a 2019 interview, Marina revealed that the acoustics were sung and recorded on set, but the videos were lip-synced to make video production easier.[1]

Outtakes[]

Homewrecker (Acoustic): This may have been an outtake of the EP as it was released along with the rest of the music videos for the acoustic versions of the 3 songs on the EP. It was not included on it for unknown reasons.
