Horror Pop is a song by Marina Diamandis, released under her previous stage name 'Marina and the Diamonds'. Appearing on her self-released EP, Mermaid vs. Sailor, as the 2nd track.
The song was written and produced by Marina herself.
Background[]
On January 10, 2007, Marina performed live at The Betsey. The show's set list is visible in an image taken at the event, and although the titles are difficult to make out, Horror Pop seems to appear as the first track.[1]
Horror Pop was first mentioned in MySpace comments on June 22,[2][3] approximately five months before the EP was released.

- Along with Daddy Was a Sailor and Plastic Rainbow, Horror Pop is one of three Mermaid vs. Sailor tracks not to knowingly get reworked for The Family Jewels.
