Saviour is an unreleased song by Marina Diamandis, initially intended for her third studio album FROOT, and possibly its scrapped repackage.

The song was written by Marina alone, and produced by David Kosten.

Background

In April 2015, Marina said she wanted to repackage FROOT, adding seven additional songs, a month later explaining she had "a few songs" that didn't make the final tracklist because they weren't quite finished, and didn't belong to the original tracklist, but they would be "really fitting" for the repackage. This could possibly mean Saviour would have been on the repackage, but it is worth noting Marina had never mentioned nor teased the song, it was not even known to exist by fans at this point.

In January 2016, the song's existence was revealed when David Kosten tweeted (then promptly deleted) the recording list of FROOT. Saviour appeared along with another unknown song, When You Take Away Control, with Forget was missing from the list altogether.

This lead fans to believe either Saviour or When You Take Away Control was a demo for Forget, however in an interview with The Aquarian, Marina stated she wrote 15 songs for FROOT, and in April 2019, she stated that 14 songs were studio-recorded for FROOT, 12 of which were included on the final tracklist. Meaning that Diamandis simply swapped either Saviour or When You Take Away Control for Forget at some point during her recording sessions with Kosten.

• Saviour was the 12th song on FROOT's recording list.
