This is a timeline on The Family Jewels' creation, including when the album photoshoots were shot, music videos were filmed, and when songs were first available, or mentioned, though not necessarily when they were recorded.
Note: A fansite from The Family Jewels era, rockabilly.net, compiled a song timeline.[1] This is made up from comments first mentioning the songs, so please note that some of these songs could have been on her MySpace slightly earlier and due to a data wipe, and possibly Marina's team, these comments are now mostly inaccessible. Songs that were definitely on her MySpace during this time have got references, though the exact dates might not be known, due to late reporting etc. Songs with [citation needed] have no source other than Rockabilly.

❝ I feel so much more compassion for that version of myself. It feels very far away. It is hard to even watch interviews from that time, because I’m like, "Who is she?" Whenever I hear those records, I love them. I love my past, and it also always helps to listen to them right before I’m doing a new record. Because I want to know where I’ve come from, and what I’d like to bring in, what energy I want to bring in. I think this time, it’s an opportunity to do something really different. ❞
