There's Nothing Wrong With You is an unreleased song by Marina Diamandis, intended for her fourth studio album, LOVE + FEAR.
The song was written by Marina and Jesse Saint John, and produced by Big Taste.
Background[]
In March 2016 after Lollapalooza, Marina was inspired by a woman who she chatted to in a hotel pool, something she discussed in an October 10, 2017, blogpost entitled "There's Nothing Wrong With You":[2]
❝ One of the best pieces of advice I ever heard was “There’s nothing wrong with you”. "It was a Monday morning and I was relaxing with friends in a hotel pool after playing Lollapalooza. A lady bobbed opposite me sipping a ginormous glass of rose, and we started chatting. She was a stylist and told me that, when her clients tried outfits on and looked at themselves in the mirror, she would tell them “There’s nothing wrong with you”. I asked her why and she said, “because we all think there’s something wrong with us”. It was such an odd, simple notion, but I felt like a little flower had opened up inside of me. It hadn’t occurred to me that it could be a universal feeling. There was always something so wrong with ME, I hadn’t considered that other people might feel the same. The comment stuck with me like glue for the next year. ❞
On April 19, 2017, Marina posted a picture of Big Taste and Jesse together,[3] the same day that Big Taste posted a picture of Marina and Jesse together.[4] Later that day, in a now deleted Instagram post, Marina wrote "Behind every great man there is a great chair" and tagged Big Taste.[5]
That same day, Jesse posted a snippet of Marina recording vocals for the song on his Instagram story.[6] For years, the song was unknown but when a snippet of the chorus of the song was later leaked in February 2019, fans matched part of it to this Instagram story.[7]

- The original filename for the song is "230517 - There's Nothing Wrong With You - (MarinaXJesseSaintJohnXBigTaste)", meaning the leaked mix is from May 23, 2017.
